Microbiology

Microbiology is the science of study about the biology of microscopic organisms including viruses, bacteria, algae, fungi and investigation about most suitable drugs to neutralize and eradicate them. In addition to direct microscopic examination in our hospital laboratories, after determining the agent by culture, it is compared with many antibiotics (antibiogram) and the most effective and appropriate drug is determined and prescribed.

Researchs in our Department of Microbiology, have focused on diverse aspects of microbial biological processes. In our studies, recommendations of National and International Scientific Institutions such as KLİMUD, CLSI, EUCAST, UMS (National Microbiology Standards) have taken into consideration.
